Vintage Derfield Leather Wallet

This fine vintage brown leather wallet with tan watermark silk interior is by Derfield of Burlington Arcade, London W1. Although no longer trading, Derfield & Co,Ltd were once a fixture at the splendid Burlington Arcade, just off Piccadilly in London's West End. Operating from 20/21 Burlington Arcade, Derfield & Co, Ltd not only retailed leather goods but also the noted "Derfield's Green Pipe" - a tobacco smoking pipe that apparently was 'London Made' and utilised 'a hand-cut Vulcanite mouthpiece'. The wallet is is beautifully made in brown leather, is fully lined in a complementary brown silk and has a fold over press button closure, ensuring the contents are secure. The wallet is; understated, discrete and finished to a high standard, with quality materials and fine stitching throughout.
