The silver handle's condition is good with; a full set of hallmarks, strong pinning and wear commensurate with age and use. The tortoiseshell blade is largely in good condition save the last 35mm which do bear witness to an active life. Specifically there is a scratch to one face, two nicks to one side and another brace to the bottom of the blade (see photographs for detail). In addition there is a small polished indent to the opposite corner. Potential buyers may wish to retain this evidence of a healthy working life, or engage an experienced tortoiseshell worker to remodel the end and or reduce the overall length of the blade.
