Hallmarked Silver Capstan Inkwell - Birmingham 1925 by Sanders & Mackenzie

We are delighted to offer a lovely little Capstan Inkwell from the Art Deco era, complete with integral pen rest stops consisting of the two little bollards rising from the rim. The inkwell has been well used and has numerous little marks around the rim, presumably accumulated from misplaced pens and other office accoutrements over almost hundred years of employment. There is a small glass ink insert that appears original, has been cracked and glued in the past, but holds liquid without leaks. The lid hinge is complete and solid, although it has some lateral movement.
