This is a delightful Edwardian antique solid silver inkwell from the revered silversmith and retailer Asprey, made in 1909 it has a full set of marks; 'A & Co Ltd', Birmingham Assay Anchor, Lion Passant, date letter 'k' and the all important 'Asprey London' retailers mark.
There is a clear glass inkwell liner which is neither cracked nor chipped.
Inside the lid there is a further Lion Passant and date letter 'k' accompanied by the registration mark 'Rd 538948'

Delightful condition for an item already well into it's second century. Glass liner has no cracks or chips, the silver is in good condition but there is some evidence of what may have been an engraving having been removed by laser.
That said, the overall aesthetic and practicality of the inkwell is not significantly impacted (see photographs).
