The case is careworn, but sympathetic to its contents - ensuring the spoon and fork remain in very good condition as they close in on their centenary, just four years from now. Inside all is original with the velvet faded and the silk showing some strand failure on the hinge covers. There are the inevitable surface scratches to the utensils which could be polished out if required. However, they have worked for a living and not been consigned to a drawer to grow old as many items are.
