Item Details
From the Art Deco period, this five piece guilloche enamel manicure set is in a gorgeous shade of pale blue. The five pieces comprise; two nail tools, a nail buffer, (unusually) the original scissors as well as an enamel lidded jar, all in a fitted case.
The pieces were all originally gilt, although with age, use and wear the gilt is worn in some places, particularly on the forged steel scissor handles and the file plates.
The guilloche enamel pieces, are individually hallmarked with the Adie Brothers mark and the Birmingham date letter 'F' for 1930 .
Each piece of enamel is evocative of the age, bearing fine geometric designs so popular in the Art Deco period.
Overall a lovely, quality item from a glamorous age.
