Item Details
This good size, three footed (for stability on uneven surfaces) trinket box was produced by the prodigious William Hutton & Son in 1909. However, like many of these items it had seen ‘a lot of life’ when we were offered it by one of our regular contacts.
During our initial appraisal, we decided we could give it a chance at another life and set about a full refresh and refurbishment.
After a goodly amount of work we can now offer you the chance to purchase this ‘survivor’ complete with a modern take on a traditional interior comprising; a striped perimeter silk liner and a crushed raspberry velvet padded cushion to the base.
We also replaced a rather battered external base with a mustard-cum-ochre leather lining for both durability and aesthetic appeal.

Condition is good for such a delicate item that has been around for over one hundred and ten years.
The tortoiseshell is an absolute delight, silver is good although it does carry a lifetime of use with the normal selection of light surface scratching and small dinks where the legs join the base plate [see photographs].
