An antique Edwardian silver jewellery box of oval form, the plain hinged lid with applied reeded border, supported on four cast feet.
This good size box has been thoroughly refreshed having been found in a very sorry state and comes with new linings to both the interior of the lid and the main body, augmented by a velvet cushioned base and replacement dark red leather lining to the underneath.

ConditionThis is a very, very loved jewellery box and as such it has; very rubbed (and hence indecipherable) hallmarks and a few very narrow openings to the rim, again as a result of a hundred years of over-zealous polishing.
Despite these very minor issues and the normal range of little dinks including one slightly bent leg, this box is very robust, has a very strong hinge and is fully capable of offering another hundred plus years of beauty and faithful service.
