This is a late 19th century silver rimmed horn bowl from the Aberdeen workshop of William Dunningham.
It was assayed in Edinburgh in 1899. The bowl stands 42mm high and is 99mm in diameter. The silver rim is complemented by a small silver, shield shaped cartouche bearing the inscription 'T.K. D.T.' over '17|12|29'.
William Dunningham was a manufacturing jeweller & silversmith working from Diamond Street, Aberdeen from the late 19th century until the 1950's.
