Please be aware that this item is over 150 years old and therefore bears signs of its previous life. In this case the Bristol Blue is in good condition, has no chip or cracks but does have a few small bubbles, a slightly uneven rim (demonstrating it was hand blown and finished) and the inevitable light surface scratches.
As for the claw base the only real evidence of the past are some retained accumulations of proprietary metal cleaners, deliberately left to reassure potential buyers that this is an authentic piece.
The plate is in good condition and the makers marks to the base rim are clear and discernible. Should you have any other questions in respect of either the item or its condition, please contact us and we will be pleased to assist wherever possible.
