Item Details
This delightful late Victorian brooch of a white and blue guilloche 'starburst' rectangular example, bears witness to the range of different skills and materials that were exploited in the 19th century to lift the mood of a nation still sharing mourning with Queen Victoria.
This brooch although using relatively inexpensive materials, was expertly worked by skilled craftsmen.
Consequently, it is even-more surprising that it survives, let alone maintains currency in an eclectic 'fast fashion' obsessed 21st century.
